Ordering and Custom Mold Questions
Do you offer custom leather stamp molds?
Yes. We create custom leather stamp molds from logos, artwork, patterns, and project requirements. Each request is reviewed for feasibility, detail, dimensions, leather use, and pressing setup.
What should I send for a custom quotation?
Send a clear image, vector file, drawing, or sketch together with the required width and height, intended leather item, leather thickness, and press information. See the custom mold ordering guide for details.
Can any image become a leather stamp mold?
Not always. Fine lines, crowded details, weak contrast, or shapes that cannot release cleanly may need adjustment. We review the artwork and explain any practical changes before production.
Are existing leather stamp mold designs ready to ship?
Existing mold designs are normally made to order. Production currently takes about 1–2 weeks before shipping and may be adjusted later according to order volume. Only products specifically marked Ready to Ship are held in stock; these normally dispatch within 1–3 business days.
What is the difference between one-piece and two-piece molds?

Pressing, Materials, and Production
What materials do you use?
Many leather embossing molds are made from 2A12 super duralumin. The confirmed material is shown on each product page or quotation because requirements can vary by design and use.
What press do I need?
The mold needs flat, even pressure. A hydraulic press is suitable for many projects, and 10 tons or more is commonly recommended, but the actual requirement depends on mold size, relief, leather, moisture, machine, and technique. What leather thickness should I use?
Vegetable-tanned leather around 2.5 mm or thicker is commonly recommended for deeper impressions. Thinner leather may need a suitable backing or silicone pad depending on the design. Test before pressing the final piece. Read our leather thickness guide for 3D embossing before choosing material.
How long does a custom mold take?
Custom projects commonly take about 2–3 weeks after the design and specifications are confirmed. Timing can vary with complexity, revisions, dimensions, and current workload.
