Important Use Notes
- This listing is for the mold only.
- Finished leather pieces, leather straps, silicone pad, and press machine are not included.
- Best for vegetable-tanned leather.
- Recommended leather thickness: 2.5mm and up.
- For leather below 2.5mm, a silicone pad is recommended for support.
- This mold should be used with a press machine.
- Keep the mold and leather flat and centered under the press.
- Start with light pressure to check the position, then gradually increase pressure.
- When extending the pattern, align the end of the previous impression with the matching beginning section of the mold.
- The repeat connection has been designed to blend naturally when correctly aligned.
- Please test the alignment and pressure on scrap leather before pressing your final project.
Please Note
- The finished leather sample shown in the photos is only an embossing effect example.
- This is not a finished leather belt or strap.
- The final result may vary depending on leather type, leather thickness, moisture level, pressure, alignment, and machine setup.
- Slight machining marks may appear on the mold surface and do not affect normal use.
- Due to the long shape of this mold, flat placement and even pressure are important for a clear full-length impression.
- Although the pattern is designed for seamless repetition, careful positioning is still required when connecting each impression.
How To Use
1. Lightly spray the vegetable-tanned leather with clean water until the surface is evenly damp. Do not completely soak the leather.
2. Secure the mold firmly in the center of the hydraulic press and make sure it remains flat and stable.
3. Place a soft silicone pad underneath the leather to provide support and help the leather conform to the detailed relief.
4. Position the damp leather carefully over the silicone pad, then check that the mold, leather, and pad are properly aligned and centered.
5. Adjust the pressure before making the final impression. Start with lower pressure and increase it gradually until the desired embossing depth is achieved.
6. An 8–10 ton electric hydraulic press is recommended. However, different machines, leather thicknesses, moisture levels, and leather characteristics may require different pressure settings.
7. Always test the pressure, moisture level, and positioning on a scrap piece of leather before embossing your final project.
8. For a continuous pattern, carefully align the beginning of the mold with the end of the previous impression.
9. Check the connection point before applying full pressure to reduce visible gaps, overlaps, or misalignment.
